Private Wire Energy Parks

Over 1GW of Private Wire Renewables

Most data centres compete for grid capacity. We developed our own energy parks. Over 1,000 acres of renewable generation directly connected to our data centres, delivering some of the UK’s cleanest and most cost-effective power for AI infrastructure.

The Private Wire Advantage

The foundation of the DataVita model is a direct private wire connection between our data centres and dedicated renewable energy parks. This architecture creates a self-contained energy ecosystem.

How Private Energy Works

Direct Connection
Energy parks connected directly to data centre substations. Behind-the-meter configuration means power doesn't pass through public networks.
Reducing Non-Commodity Cost Exposure
Fewer network and balancing cost layers enable consistently lower delivered energy prices, supporting sub-10p/kWh economics.
Working with the Grid
Grid provides resilient backup when renewables aren't available. We reduce strain on the network, not add to it.

Large-Scale Energy Parks

Over 1,000 acres of dedicated renewable generation, directly adjacent to our data centres. This proximity ensures ultra-low transmission loss and maximum reliability.

Sustainability Leadership

The UK's Least Carbon Intense Electricity

Moving IT infrastructure to Lanarkshire could cut emissions by up to 11x versus other regions. Southern Scotland has the greenest electricity of anywhere in Great Britain.

3.8x cleaner than London
11x Cleaner than South Wales (peak)

"If you have two identical data centres in southern Scotland and South Wales, on the same green power tariff with the same IT load, the Scottish data centre will generate significantly less carbon."

Making Large-Scale AI in the UK Viable

Power at sub-10p/kWh

DataVita can deliver large-scale AI data centre power in the UK at sub-10p/kWh.

This is 37.5% cheaper than the lowest current UK market rate of around £0.16/kWh, and 50% cheaper than typical rates of around £0.20/kWh. For major AI operators, this means tens to hundreds of millions of pounds in annual savings, combined with a dramatic cut in carbon emissions.

How We Achieve <10p/kWh and <5g CO₂e/kWh

Blended energy sources optimised for cost and carbon

<10p/kWh Blended Average Cost
<5g CO₂e/kWh cleaner than London

The Financial Case

The lowest current market rate for large-scale UK data centre power is £0.16/kWh: 6p for commodity energy, 5p for transmission and distribution, and 5p for policy and other levies.

Under the DataVita model, the vast majority of these charges are removed.

The DataVita Advantage

By integrating directly connected renewable energy parks with private wire delivery and advanced battery load management, DataVita delivers:

Massive cost reduction

Cutting power bills by 37.5% against the best market rates and 50% against typical rates

Price certainty

Long-term protection from volatile non-commodity charges and time-of-use pricing

Sustainability leadership

Blended emissions of less than 5g CO₂e/kWh

Scale for AI

Over 1GW of AI data centre capacity in development by 2030

Strategic location

Over 1,000 acres of energy parks adjacent to our sites
